and varieties of stones available in the state Rajasthan
Granite - Granite reserves in Rajasthan are estimated
at 1128 million cubic meters and are spread over in the district
of Barmer, Jalore, Pali, Sirohi, Alwar, Jaipur, Tonk, Ajmer, Bhilwara.
Prominent nerves centres of Granite Processing and quarrying in
Rajasthan is Jalore.
Marble - Splendid varieties of marbles are spread
all over Rajasthan, mainly in the district of Nagaur, Udaipur,
Rajsamand, Banswara, Dungarpur, and Jaipur.
Makrana - Makrana white was
used in Taj-Mahal. Makrana is famous for no. of Varieties- Super-white,
albeta, adonga, kumari, doongri, pink etc.
Rajsamand - Deposits of a
variety of white and greenish white marbles like Marwar, Agaria,
dholikhan, Arna, Jhanthar, Dharmeta, etc.
Udaipur - Udaipur is Famous
for Rajasthan Green with multiple variations like Crocodile,
Olive, Sea green, Imperial Green, and Emerald Green.
Jaipur - This Region Produces
a variety of white and greenish white marble with important
varieties of white and greenish white marbles, Pista, Onyx,
Indo-Italian, Black.
Sand Stones - Sand stone reserves
in Rajasthan estimated at 900 million tons are spread over in
the district of Bharatpur, Dholpur, Kota, Jodhpur, Sawai Madhopur,
Bundi, Jaiselmer many major historical land marks in India like
Redford, Rashtrapati Bhawan, (Parliament House) India Gate,
Umaid Bhawan Palace, Fatehpur Sikari are made of Rajasthan Sand
Stone.
Flaggy lime Stone - Kota Stone
from Kota is a fine grained limestone,which comes in distinct
colors of greenish blue and brown. Non-water absorbent no slip
& non-porous Kota-Stone is a Prefened stone for flooring
and cladding.
Internationally, this stone has been used in places all over
the Globe like major tube stations of London, Zurich & Frankfurt.
Flaggy limestone from Jaisalmer,
which is yellow in colors, is renowned for its consistency in
colors.
Fancy Flaggy Lime Stone - It
is also known as forest green and Brown. It is an interesting
variety of the Stone contains exotic fossils imprinted in it.
